Summary
This position reports directly to the President/Chief Executive Officer and oversees the financial department, and will perform a verity of tasks including, but not limited to maintenance of an automated general ledger, accounts payable, billing system, staff supervision, and the production of financial projections, and written monthly reports as requested.
Essential Job Functions including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for maintenance of cash receipts, cash disbursements, general ledger journals and preparation of trial balances for all MFC programs and funds.
Prepares monthly financial reports for submission to state and federal agencies, President/Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors.
Supervises Billing, Procurement, Accounts and IT functions.
Responsible for the maintenance of an automated accounting system.
Participates in grant application preparation and selection of grant opportunities that best fit the organization.
Assists and coordinates with independent auditors in the annual financial audit.
Prepares budget and long-range plans in conjunction with administrative team.
Oversees daily banking activities.
Attends board meetings, board financial meeting, and director meetings.
Coordinates and oversee year-end completion of the financial audit.
Coordinates and oversee the completion of the yearly pension plan audit.
Completes any corrective action plan associated with audits.
Liaison with auditors, pension plan TOA, and with the bank.
Generates Quarterly PMA FSR, Annual HRSA FFR.
Completes the 330 grant draw downs and the 330 grant T & A Sheets.
Responsible for yearly solicitation license.

Supervisory Responsiblities
This position has direct supervision of the accounting department (staff accountant, finance coordinator, accounting clerk and procurement specialist) and billing department (billing manager, coders, billing specialist, credentiling and patient financial specialist) and direct supervision of the director of information technology.
Education, Certificates, License and/or Experience
A four-year degree from an accredited college or university. A minimyum of five years experience in the field of accounting or finance, two of which must be at the supervosory level. Experience in working as Finance DIrector in an FQHC is highly desirable. CMPE perferred.
