On-call Relief Workers employees hired between 3-1-2024 and 12-31-2024 will be eligible for a one-time incentive payment of $1,000.00.
Additional criteria to qualify for an Incentive Payment: On-call Relief Workers must complete 1000 hours to qualify.
GENERAL SUMMARY
The purpose of this job is to supervise the safety and security of juvenile court wards and provide positive reinforcement and discipline.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and ensure the safety and security of all residents and facility staff.
- Possess clear knowledge of and adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
- Ensure individual and group interaction with residents.
- Conduct individual and group interactions with co-workers and administration.
- Paperwork/information management.
- Perform related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
- At least two years of relevant college-level course work or an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, or a related field, with completion of an undergraduate degree preferred.
- Some work experience working with juveniles is required. Working with troubled youths is preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
