Summary of Job Duties:
Drives Net Material Performance, Engineering Change Management (ECN) and Supplier Capacity implementation of the Original Equipment and Aftermarket - Americas businesses by either improving or launching product portfolio and cost competitiveness through a combination of sourcing, operational, and product development programs. This role is responsible for the planning, coordinating, evaluation and execution of activities involved with the entire operation of specific products, including development, testing, product quality, production, Capex, project cost, scheduling and performance, and launch.
Qualifications Required:
Qualification 1: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Logistics Management, or Industrial Engineering.
Qualification 2: Five plus years of manufacturing experience including supply chain, production/inventory control, ERP/MRP, and continuous improvement.
Qualification 3: Or an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Qualification 4: Strong problem-solving skills and experience in using formalized problem-solving tools and methods is preferred.
Qualification 5: Value stream map processes skills/experience to include analyzing work and information flows and seeking input from key process stakeholders when assessing current state and developing proposed solutions. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals,
Qualification 6: Ability to manage all aspects of a formal supply chain project; managing progress of non-direct reports, driving project timelines, ensuring achievement of project milestones, measuring effectiveness of project implementation.
Qualification 7: Strong understanding of the interdependencies between all supply chain related functions and other key business functional areas. Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, processes, tools, and disciplines is preferred.
Qualification 8: Experience working with external suppliers and customers, with the ability to understand the perspectives of external supply chain partners.
Qualification 9: Minimum of 3 years of similar work experience is required, preferably process experience related to Foundry, Forging, Heat Treat, Heavy Stampings, Fabrication, Assembly and Machining processes.
Qualification10: Experience in the following preferred AIAG, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, Control Plan, and APQP. Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate, preferred.
Travel Requirements: Approximately 30-40% domestic travel possible depending on project requirements.
