Key Responsibilities:
This employment opportunity is for a person with an experienced background in truck maintenance and repair to be the Manager of our Fleet Service Center in Flint, Michigan. This is a key position within Shrader and is designed to be a “hands-on, working manager” position with key responsibilities to include (but not limited to) the following:
- Manage daily operations of the Fleet Service Center
- Supervise and direct tire technicians and mechanics
- Perform opening/closing procedures; key holder responsibilities
- Provide customer service (in-person, phone, email)
- Assist with repairs and act as lead mechanic if qualified
- Oversee parts ordering, inventory, and verification
- Ensure diagnostic inspections and final quality checks
What you need to know and have:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- 5+ years of management experience and truck/tire maintenance
- Heavy Duty Truck Repair certifications (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment, must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively. Must be able to lift, twist, push/pull, bend, squat, climb, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
