(Taylor, MI) Manage assigned engineering projects related to material handling system design, manufacturing, installation and application within the automotive and construction industries. Serve as Project Team Leader and oversee technical matters delegated to Project Engineers. Oversee commercial matters involving contract negotiations, cost, quotations, and Purchase Requisitions. Monitor subcontracts for compliance with schedules, engineering specifications, and terms. Develop detailed schedules for and with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, and subcontractors to ensure coordination and timely project completion. Manage customer relations by serving as focal point, maintaining customer satisfaction with system performance, and preparing monthly progress reports for customer. Monitor and control budget allocations, schedule, and forecasting of cost deviations. Review and confirm engineering designs are as proposed by DMW and satisfy the contract. Approve and process ABMs written by other engineers. Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with DMW quality, safety, environmental standards, and work instructions.
