The laboratory of Dr. Isabelle Lombaert at the University of Michigan seeks to hire an enthusiastic Postdoctoral fellow. The prospective candidate will work on a funded project covering epigenetics and stem cell therapy. Candidates are expected to contribute to projects both intellectually and technically, actively participate in the preparation of grants and manuscripts and present their work at a team meetings and conferences. Candidates should have prior research or training in epigenetic-related work, experience with animal work (handling, breeding, microsurgeries, necropsy), tissue processing, immunohistochemistry, western blot, confocal imaging, qPCR, FACS, and cell culture work. We are looking for a team player with positive and respectful attitude towards colleagues, flexibility and drive to learn new techniques.
The Lombaert lab is located at the vibrant North Campus Research Complex (NCRC), University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The NCRC houses diverse laboratories, research cores, and units promoting commercial advancements of ideas. Our group is also part of Biointerfaces Institute. The Biointerfaces Institute houses various multidisciplinary labs with strong focus in basic and translational sciences.
- A PhD in the field of Biology or related field.
- A track record of high-quality research demonstrated by publications.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Prior research or training in animal and molecular work.
