About the Role:
General Dynamics Land Systems is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Designer for our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for Designs from Model-Centric CAD Models, Assemblies, and Installations. Your expertise in setting up views, dimensions, notes, callouts, and technical information will be crucial in producing complex detailed drawings to ASME 14.100M standards. The work will involve designing for major military vehicle systems and components primarily consisting of heavy structures, castings, forgings, weldments, sheet metal, routed systems and precision mechanical mechanisms. This person will be expected to perform tolerance analysis, space claim and interference/clearance studies. Candidate must be able to perform design calculations for mechanical, geometric, and mass property calculations. This position will require maintenance of status reports in Microsoft Access and other essential documentation.

Qualifications Sought:
Knowledgeable with Low to High complexity detail drawings of Mechanical /Structural parts.
Has the ability to prepare and revise complex CAD models, large assemblies and complex components using the latest CAD, ANSI and ASME standards.
They perform tolerance analysis/stack-ups, space claims and clearance/interference studies.
They perform design calculations for mechanical, geometric, and mass properties
Must be proficient in TeamCenter, NX, Vis Mock-Up and CREO.
Participate in design reviews.
Should be able to create complete complex drawings from Model-Centric CAD Models, Assemblies, and Installations.
Set up applicable views and necessary dimensions, notes, callouts, and technical information needed to complete a Complex Detailed drawing.
Incorporates Engineering mark-ups on drawings Review detail drawings for completeness and accuracy.
Knowledgeable with ASME 14.100M standards.
Knowledgeable with EBOM & Product Structure Management in Teamcenter Some knowledge in GD&T Preferred.
Applicant should have at least ten (10) years of experience in Military design.
The candidate must be proficient in ASME Y14.5-2009, ASME 14.100- 2013 and Mil-STD-31000-2018 and familiar with ASME 14.41-2019
Minimum of High school degree
