Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role as a CMM Operator at our Canton, MI facility. The CMM Operator will be responsible for performing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operations, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The role involves using advanced metrology equipment and software to measure and verify the accuracy and precision of components and assemblies.
Responsibilities:
- Writing the programs for new products.
- Performing inspections on existing parts.
- Performing incoming inspections for new and existing production.
- Gage Calibration support
- Quality Lab maintenance activates
- Be comfortable working in a quality lab environment
Qualifications:
- Experience in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and using metrology equipment
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and Blueprint reading
- Knowledge of Zeiss CALYPSO
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a CMM programmer / operator
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in quality control and inspection
- Proficient in using measurement software and data analysis tools
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in metrology
Pay:
$30/Hour
