Y Time Lead Preschool Teacher is responsible for the educational experience of young children. Y Time Preschool is located at Hastings Church of the Nazarene, with children 2.5-5 years of age; the program runs Monday-Friday, 6:30-6:00 PM

The Lead Teacher builds strong relationships with families and children and follows all procedures, policies, and licensing standards. They provide a classroom environment that encourages all children's participation and inspires and motivates them. The Lead Teacher plans parent conferences to discuss children's developmental progress and creates and carries out weekly plans that implement an age-appropriate curriculum designed to nurture and stimulate all domains of each child's development.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years teaching experience
- Possess an associate degree in early childhood education or child development; a Child Development Associate credential with 18 plus hours of college credit; or a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a child-related field.
- Completion of required training, such as child abuse prevention and others; CPR; first aid; AED; bloodborne pathogens; Completion of TB and drug tests.
- Fulfillment of state-specific hiring standards, passing the criminal history background and fingerprinting process, and completion of YMCA program-specific certifications.
