Description Overview The Vision Engineer is responsible for providing technical and compliance assistance to pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging operations. They will play a key role in leading and supporting the effective execution, integration, and completion of projects related to vision systems and automation across various sites. Their role involves exploring creative and alternative approaches to address business requirements, while delivering exceptional customer service to operational teams. This includes adhering to timely, professional, and safe practices to ensure objectives are met. Scope of the Role Supporting equipment purchases and modifications to increase plant productivity or adapt to new products Ensuring compliance with FDA regulations throughout the equipment lifecycle Managing capital and expense projects within timelines and budget Evaluating proposed changes' impact on control systems' validation Supporting quality improvement initiatives (CAPA) and technology adoption Identifying opportunities to improve production processes emphasizing detection capabilities Collaborating with various teams to implement changes and resolve issues Addressing emergency downtime events and optimizing machine performance Developing and implementing features to enhance machine efficiency, safety, and data tracking Provide strategic plans to upgrade aging and obsolete systems Review technical specifications of new equipment for alignment with established standards Experience Required Bachelor's degree in engineering 3+ years of relevant work experience Understanding of technical drawings, and proficiency in AutoCAD preferred Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma processes preferred Electrical troubleshooting skills preferred Experience with Vision System troubleshooting preferred Flexible schedule with normal working hours of 7 am – 4 pm Knowledge of computer system validation and change management in FDA-regulated environments Experience and familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work well in teams and interface with various departments, consultants, and contractors External applicants please note: To apply to this position please click the APPLY button at the bottom of the application.
