The Payroll Specialist will be part of a critical role in ensuring that employees are paid accurately and in a timely manner. The Specialist will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of payroll, including record-keeping and reporting, provide customer service to employees, assist with projects, and be accountable of confidential employee data while being compliant with company and state policies. The Specialist will work closely with the Payroll Manager, HR, & Management.
Essential Functions:
Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
Record time off requests and other payroll documents and ensuring these are received timely and are accurate, complete, calculate, and in compliance with state and federal payroll standards.
Follow up with manager on missing or incomplete documentation.
Ensure final records are achieved per standard operating procedures.
Audit and maintain paid time off balances, correcting as needed.
Record and maintain other payroll records, such as direct deposit, tax withholdings, and wage garnishments.
Reviewing payroll discrepancies and process or submit corrections as needed.
Communicate with employees or managers payroll related announcement or issues.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all payroll remittances and reports.
Prepare pay period functions related to analysis, input, and reconciliation of the timekeeping system.
All other duties, as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
Associate degree preferred with a minimum of two years of payroll experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
