Otis Elevator Company has an opening for a Model-Based Design Test Manager in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Oversee the automated test systems and diagnostics area. Develop and maintain the hardware-in-the-loop systems used for model-based design (MBD). Manage common embedded MBD diagnostics, which will be validated on the HiL and drives functional testing methods. Work as part of the larger MBD team to support and delivery MBD hardware-in-the-loop systems and testing guidance globally for Otis. Manage MBD simulator and test engineers including performance management, task assignment, and regular evaluations. Gather test requirements from MBD algorithm and systems engineers. Work with external hardware test integrators to maintain and update the test systems. Support the needs from various development groups globally and deliver a common test framework for both hardware and software tools. Develop and generate test software using MBD tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) that verify the required features and functional content and ensure compliance to safety requirements, regulatory requirements, local building codes, and internal company policy. Develop test automation procedures at the function/model level (MiL/SiL/HiL testing) and at the system (“black box”) level. Define and maintain hardware/software simulator architectures and design implementation including future roadmaps. Support and develop methods and processes for MBD automated testing.
5-10% national and international travel.
