Position Summary
Provides clerical support to the Administrators within the Educational Services Department, while maintaining confidentiality.
Duties and Responsibilities
(These duties and responsibilities are judged to be "essential functions" in terms of the Americans With Disabilities Act or ADA)
Liaison for district-wide student teacher placement.
Assists Assessment and Data Analysis with local and state assessments/data, assessment calendars, and communication through the Parent Portal.
Coordinates the ordering of office supplies for the department (E-Catalog, Amazon Business, etc.).
Scheduling and set-up of rooms for meetings for the Educational Services Department.
Assists with reporting State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECH) pertaining to certification for all instructional staff and administrators to the Michigan Department of Education.
Schedules times and locations for Educational Services interviews.
Supports district Summer School Programs and tutoring.
Distributes and compiles teacher Non-Academic Duties information for payroll processing.
Updates district website as needed for Educational Services Department information.
Oversees the school business calendar and PowerSchool Records requests.
Assists with registrations of students/families as needed (Central Registration, GSRP, EL, etc.).
Coordinates building usage and assists with all District Provided Professional Development planning and communication.
Prepares and disseminates Educational Services Updates bi-monthly electronic newsletter.
Monitors and updates student enrollment numbers regularly throughout the year for staffing and purchasing of materials.
Reviews and processes school of choice applications and student transfer requests.
Assists in district-wide textbook purchases, curricular resources, and instructional materials in collaboration with Grants and Innovation & Learning.
Prepares department correspondence including typing, printing, copying and distributing, etc.
Operates existing office machines and technology within the Educational Services Department,
Communicates effectively and professionally with customers, employees, students, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information and address complaints while maintaining confidentiality.

Education:
This position requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Two years of related experience providing clerical support in an office setting required.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of basic math, required.
Knowledge of accounting procedures, required.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services, required.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures, required.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar, required.
Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret district policies, guidelines, and government regulations, required.
Ability and willingness to participate in training classes, required.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, required.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form, required.
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, be organized and work in a fast-paced work environment, required.
Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with teachers, community, students and staff, in a confidential manner, required.
Skills:
Word processing 40 wpm, required
Data Entry skills minimum 6000 stokes per hour, 95% accuracy required
