Position Summary
Performs a wide variety of clerical support services to assist the Director of Community Relations, while maintaining confidentiality.
Duties and Responsibilities

Support and assist the Director of Community Relations in promoting the district by promoting school of choice, providing information to employees and community.
Gathers information for district newsletter.
Obtains information from media sources regarding the district and education in general for the Director and the Superintendent.
Prepare correspondence and track donations pertaining to the Chippewa Valley Educational Foundation.
Order supplies for department.
Process purchase orders.
Event planning.
Schedules and updates the district website and cable channel with district information.
Train and provide technical support to district employees using Foxbright and ensuring webpages are ADA compliant.
Create weekly what's happening for community publication.
Assist in creating and distributing content to social media platforms.
Perform social media monitoring for director and administration.
Assist in ensuring all district brand media is consistent across all buildings and is compliant with ada.
Primary contact for schoolmessenger communications, questions, troubleshooting and assistance.
Operate office machines, such as photocopiers, scanners, computers, printers adding machines, facsimile machines, voicemail systems, and telephones.
Communicate with customers, employees, students, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information and address complaints.

Education:
This position requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Advanced education in related field preferred i.e. social media, marketing, public relations, etc.
Experience:
Three years of related experience providing clerical support in an office setting required.
Two years of work experience in marketing, social media and/or public relations related field, preferred.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of basic math, required.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services, required.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures, required.
Knowledge of social media platforms including instagram, linkedin, x, facebook and more, required.
Knowledge of internet and ability to do research online, required.
Knowledge of school messenger, preferred.
Knowledge of foxbright, preferred.
Knowledge of publishing and web designed, preferred.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar, required.
Abilities:
Ability and interest to learn technical equipment and software, i.e. Photoshop, Publishing, Scanners, digital cameras, etc, required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, required.
Ability to read and interpret district policies, guidelines, and government regulations, required.
Ability and willingness to participate in training classes, required.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, required.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form, required.
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, be organized and work in a fast paced work environment, required.
Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with teachers, community, students and staff, required.
