The Duties of the Supply Chain Outsourcing Coordinator are to manage Outsourcing activities with our suppliers, plan optical sorting operations and coordinate with the internal team to make sure production orders are executed with high quality and delivered on time. The Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining optical service levels. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring seamless and efficient movement of goods through the supply chain from procurement to delivery while considering factors such as cost, quality and customer service.
The position entails the following responsibility:
Outsourcing Management.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services according to production schedules.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers by fostering open communication and collaboration.
Monitor inventory levels and take appropriate action to minimize excess inventory or stock outs.
Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods from our suppliers and back, arrange shipments and track deliveries to ensure on-time arrivals.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns as they may arise.
Production Planning for Optical Sorting
Plan and schedule sorting activities to meet production requirements and customer demand.
Coordinate sorting operations with production teams to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
Develop and maintain sorting schedules and ensure adherence to time lines.
Communication and Coordination
Serve as primary point of contact between internal team and external suppliers for outsourcing activities and sorting planning.
Communicate production schedules, material requirements and sorting plans to suppliers to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including logistics and production teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of outsourcing activities and sorting operations.
Problem Solving and Decision Making
Identify and resolve any issues or challenges related to outsourcing activities, sorting operations or supplier performance.
Make informed decisions about sorting priorities to meet production targets and customer expectations.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
The role as backup to the CS&L Coordinator position entails several critical responsibilities.
The Coordinator will need to inform the planning leader of any urgent customer priorities which require immediate attention.
They will be responsible for initiating production orders based on customer forecasts, carefully determining the appropriate quantities while adhering to production lead times.
They will need to oversee the management of shipments to customers including timely delivery of any urgent orders and all related documentation.
The Management of inter company transfers, which involves coordinating purchase orders, confirming delivery times and liaising with CS&L personnel in other companies within the group.
The Coordinator will need to inform the customer with a delivery plan if a shipment is delayed. If a delayed delivery has potential to disrupt the customer's production line, the incumbent must communicate with the production planning leader, the production manager and the top lead in the company.
Education required.
Studies in commerce and/or logistics.
English spoken and fluently written. Spanish as second language a plus.
Prior training with logistics planning in the automotive sector.
Master in Windows programs (Excel and Word)
1 year supply chain, outsourcing logistic experience.
1 year automotive logistics experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
