New hires will be fully trained in all our office procedures, but a basic mastery of administrative professionalism and customer service is a required basis for successfully learning the position.
Responsibilities include:
- Answering multi-line phones promptly, professionally, and knowledgeably; placing phone calls to patients, providers, and insurance companies.
- Managing patient flow while rooming patients.
- Engaging with patients and making them feel welcome.
- Balancing the daily ledger, running transactions, and collecting payment for services.
- Investigating, inputting, and implementing insurance policies for covered patients.
- Scheduling patients based on office availability and prescribed treatment plans.
- Maintaining constant and thorough communication between office staff; being open to respectful constructive feedback.
- Assisting the providers with all necessary administrative and clerical tasks.
Requirements include:
- Should be flexible, a team player, have the ability to learn quickly, and take constructive feedback.
- At least 2 years Customer Service Experience.
- Abilities to perform duties effectively in a highly-paced environment.
- Being able to multitask several tasks at one time.
- Must be able to operate a computer proficiently.
- Typing proficiency of at least 35 words per minute.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to and stand for long periods of time.
- Willingness/Ability to stay in the position for AT LEAST 2 years.
*The hours worked per week varies depending on the flexibility of the Dr's schedule and occasional unexpected circumstances arising in the office. New hires should be prepared to occasionally come in earlier than usual (with moderate notice), and to stay later than usual (usually without notice). Daily shifts will include a one and a half hour lunch break.
