The position is responsible for inspecting, installing and repairing of plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems and components that require the facility to operate. This position will also work on the installation and repair of heating/hot water systems to include but not limited to boilers, circulating pumps, expansion tanks/ heat exchangers and air handling units. Knowledge of HVAC computerized controls, refrigeration systems etc. This position will also require work and knowledge of a lift station. This position is responsible for ensuring DDC, DRC, and WCC is in compliance with policy directives, operating procedures, authorities, and regulations which includes fire safety and sanitation.
Required Education and Experience
Education
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
Experience
Maintenance Mechanic 8
Two years of experience assisting skilled trades workers in the mechanical or electrical trades.
Maintenance Mechanic E9
Four years of experience assisting skilled trades workers in the mechanical or electrical trades, including two years equivalent to a Maintenance Mechanic 8.
Maintenance Mechanic 10
Five years of experience assisting skilled trades workers in the mechanical or electrical trades, including one year equivalent to a Maintenance Mechanic E9.
Alternate Education and Experience
Completion of a recognized program in vocational training for the mechanical or electrical trades may be substituted for two years of experience assisting skilled trades workers.

Vacation and Sick Leave:Eligible full-time employees receive between15 and 35 personal daysand13 sick daysper year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.
Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
Paid Holidays:Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year's Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
