Job Description

This position's mail role is to determine the value of any given opportunity through the combination of programs, knowledge, and intuition.

Responsibilities:

Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
Identify labor, material, and other misc. time requirements
Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements
Resolve discrepancies and design challenges by collecting and analyzing information
Prepare and submit estimates to bidders
Continually update technical and industry knowledge with an attitude of learning and attention to detail
Maintain contact and relationships with appropriate customer contacts
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Additional Requirements

General math and computer skills
Strong analytic abilities
Knowledge of construction documents and general construction flow
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Ability to coordinate and work independently
Knowledge and experience in CAD software
Positive attitude focused on growth and problem solving
High school/GED diploma is required but Bachelor's degree in a related area of study is preferred
3-5 years' estimator experience is preferred
