VAST, an Acrisure agency partner, has a current need for a full-time Commercial Account Manager. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing prompt, accurate, and courteous support services to clients and co-workers. The essential functions of the position include service to advisors and clients by handling policy inquiries, changes, quotes, and billing inquiries over the telephone or electronically.
Provide technical support to the Advisor in analyzing client needs, coverage forms, and quotations
Oversee prospective client meetings with advisor
Seek referrals and schedule appointments with clients
Determine if direct or agency billing is appropriate and invoiced accordingly
Order and issue binders, certificates, policies and endorsements
Handle cancellations, act to save accounts, and follow-up to ensure resolutions
Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverages with an advisor
Request renewal quotes from insurance carriers, create renewal proposals, and handle other renewal activities with the advisor
Build working relationships with Underwriters and Marketing Representatives to aid in the renewal process
Review client contracts for insurance requirements. Compare contract to policy to ensure contract complies. Discuss discrepancies with the client and submit changes to the carrier
Review audits of policies and facilitate corrections between client and carrier
Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals for account review
Work with Internal Marketing and maintain understanding of market appetites to understand carrier incentive programs and utilize these markets for advisor renewal quotes
Participate as a member of a non-profit board and maintain community involvement

Education and Experience:
Associate degree or the recognized equivalent in education and experience, required
Minimum 3 years' experience in customer service or insurance related field, required
Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of insurance related experience, preferred
Must obtain Michigan Life, Health and Accident License within 30-90 days of employment
Technology Skills:
Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills, required
Knowledge of Agency Management Systems and Acrisure Resources, preferred
