Responsibilities could include:
- Assist with and may perform specialty-specific diagnostic tests such as: electrocardiograms, Fine Needle Aspirations, Fibro Scans, basic Spirometry, Skin Tests, Diagnostic monitoring, Holter Monitor assistance, vision related testing including visual fields, contact lens trainings, intra ocular injection preps, scanning of the retina.
- Assist with IV starts.
- Set up Sterile Fields.
- Administer medications/immunizations, injections as directed
- May complete general administrative duties as assigned including; Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Disability and Return to Work forms, Electronic Medical Record in-basket messages, etc.
- Complete other clinical and non-clinical duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an equivalent combination of patient care related education and patient care experience
- 0-1 years of patient care experience for an Assistant level
- 1-3 years of patient care experience for an Associate level
- Knowledge of basic Medical Terminology
- Moderate standing/walking, as well as, lifting, positioning, pushing and/or transferring patient.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or (RMA).
- Experience working within a large complex health care setting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records system.
- Experience working in a clinical outpatient or inpatient setting that performs focused clinical testing.
Full Time hours, 40 hours per week, weekday schedule will vary depending on location/clinic.
May be occasional weekends.
