Booker Deputy Program Manager
About the Role
This position is a full-time position for a Deputy Program Manager (DPM) for the Booker Program reporting directly to the Program Manager, Booker Combat Vehicle.
This position is a key member of the Booker Program leadership team and will have a direct impact on the program's success. This is a fast paced, dynamic and demanding program that requires EXCELLENT communication, organization and strategic thinking.
The Booker Program is launching Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP).
This position is heavily focused on material planning and delivery supporting logistics and training, working with Product Support Management (PSM), Supply Chain Management, including suppliers, and Engineering Project Leads, as required.
Hybrid or Onsite
Due to the nature of the work, this role requires on-site presence up to 100%.
Responsibilities
Participate in the development of key strategies for program success.
Lead program control in planning, budgeting and execution of program.
Develop and implement program plans with product teams and functional management within program scope, cost, and schedule.
Manage Technical Data Package (TDP) changes and controlling effectivity.
Supporting Configuration Control Board (CCB), Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) meetings, and Problem Review Board (PRB) meetings as Program Office representative with decision making authority.
Managing Logistics scope including Technical Manual (TM) development, TM validation, Logistics Demonstration, TM Verification to completion with PSM IPT Lead.
Manage training material and training execution for the USG test program.
Coordinate with supply chain to manage purchases, negotiate with suppliers, and manage material deliveries to support program objectives.
Participate in program risk management including identifying risk candidates and risk mitigation plans.
Work with Program Manager to develop and foster a cohesive team, and to ensure USG customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Interface with and present to GDLS Executive Leadership and USG customer including Army stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum of 10 years relevant experience required.
Program and/or project management experience required.
Customer interface experience with USG and/or external suppliers required.
Financial compliance audits experience desired.
Strategic thinking and planning preferred.
Risk management experience preferred.
Team / Matrix management experience preferred.
Proposal development experience desired.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to obtain DoD clearance and passport.
Occasional domestic and international travel required.
