Description
We are hiring a Director of Brand Management to play a key role leading the strategic marketing and growth of our design brands and partner portfolio. These brands include Coalesse, Viccarbe, Orangebox, as well as our licensing and distribution partner brands.
You will oversee a team of marketers and brand managers who oversee product portfolios, external messaging, and relationship management across our suite of brands. You will be responsible for the profitability and revenue growth for the brands, as well as being part of a collaborative leadership team that focuses on our Design customer.
What You Will Be Doing:
Development of strategic growth plans, market insights and research
Portfolio oversight
Management of external messaging and marketing/communications plans to achieve these goals
In addition to focusing on the portfolio and growth strategy, this role will cover channel strategy, pricing, and business processes required to support these products
Who You Are:
Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing / brand along with previous successful product management experience.
Established experience in leading teams and individuals.
Proven ability to understand brand financials and pricing through strong financial acumen.
Ability to establish launch and promotional strategies, plans, and budgets for assigned product / program group(s).
Experienced in growth-oriented strategic thinking, implementation of new business models, and external relationship management.
Ability to manage multiple, competing demands effectively using appropriate prioritization & organizational skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills required to effectively work with research, design, engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing communications, dealers and internal Steelcase leaders at multiple levels.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.Must be able to prepare and present product / program proposals to all levels of management.
Ability to create new knowledge to drive positive change and new strategies.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree
10+ years of marketing, brand, and/or product management experience
Experience leading people and teams
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
MBA or master's degree
Knowledge of commercial furniture and design industries
