Inside the RoleThe Application Development Business Systems Analyst designs, develops, and implements custom software applications to meet the organization's needs. The position acts as the liaison between the business and IT and works closely with stakeholders, including business users, project managers, and IT teams, to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions. The Applications Development Business Systems Analyst leads development projects working closely with offshore team to make design decisions, guiding and overseeing development, user acceptance testing and release management. In addition, the position manages, maintains and supports customized developed solutions in production via incident, request, and change management processes

What You Drive at DTNA
Review code, test, debug, and document software applications using industry programming languages, frameworks, and tools, modify existing code, develop new modules, or integration with third-party systems
Write efficient and maintainable code, implementing data models, integrating with existing systems, and ensuring scalability and performance
Perform quality assurance by conducting unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to validate the functionality, performance, and security of developed applications, identify and address any defects or issues that arise during the testing phase
Manage development backlog and allocation of resources
Communicate progress, issues, and risks throughout development
Create and maintain technical documentation, including application design, system architecture, and user manuals, to ensure proper understanding and supportability of the developed applications
Investigate and resolve application issues and bugs reported by end users using ITIL processes
Collaborate with support teams (i.e. Infrastructure, Information Security) to provide timely resolution and ensure application stability and reliability
Assist with technology lifecycle management along with patches, fixes and upgrades of technology supporting custom applications, manage and maintain server digital certificates
Own custom application and development technology as Technical Owner of production, test and development systems
Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to application development, propose and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the custom applications and the application development lifecycle
Knowledge You Should Bring
Bachelor's degree from an accredited University/College in a related field along with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or 7 years of professional experience in a related field.
Proficient in programming skills (e.g., SQL)
Proficiency in developing and working with databases, SQL, and data modeling
Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and version control systems (e.g., GitHub).
Proficiency with web development frameworks (e.g. ASP.NET, Angular, React)
Knowledge of software testing and debugging techniques
Knowledge of software release management processes using automated technology, CI-CD (e.g.,JFrog, Jenkins)
Experience with user access control to applications, tools and datausing systems and protocols such as Active Directory and SSO
Proven proficiency in project management methodologies, including planning, organizing, and coordinating resources to ensure successful project delivery
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing technological landscapes, as well as the ability to navigate ambiguity
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders from different backgrounds and technical expertise, bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation
Ability to thrive on high-profile projects and in ambiguous situations
Aptitude and desire to independently learn new technologies
