Job Summary
Under minimal direction and supervision from the Manager, Financial Decision Support, assists with the Corewell Health-wide implementation of the Strata Decision Support System (DSS) for cost accounting and patient level analysis. Performs monthly processing and auditing of theDSS, identify trends, anomalies and formulates conclusions. Handles system maintenance and technical support issues; performs reporting as required by the department. Monthly processing of the DSS includes but is not limited toupdating department listings, processing and maintaining GL and Payroll data in the DSS,cost structures, key tables, and RVU's. Accomplish monthly and adhoc audits of the DSS to ensure accuracy of the data both at the department and patient level. Handle various adhoc reporting requestsfor all levels of management within the organization (clinical, non-clinical, department, executive and physician level)and present results and/or recommendations either written or orally within timeframes agreed to with customer.Projects include: Service Line Reporting, Patient Reporting, Departmental Reporting, and Contract Maintenance. Collect and analyze data using appropriate analytics and statistical techniques as requested by customers. Continually improve the reporting capabilities and tools within the department. General system maintenance and technical support of Strata, and other financial reporting tools (hardware and software upgrades, and general system support). Track and document all Strata system related issues through to resolution. Essential Functions
Performs statistical, cost, and financial variance analysis of data to evaluate financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Provides guidance on business issues including financial and profitability analysis. Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity, which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
Serves as a consultant to assigned areas of the organization to support the financial goals and objectives of Corewell Health.

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or related field
3 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, or related work
Preferred
Master's Degree in Business or Finance
Formal or informal leadership experience
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - State of Michigan
Cost accounting and decision support experience
