Job Purpose
The Network Transformation Program is a key strategic initiative to standardize, and automate over 144 sites globally at Dana utilizing next generation, market centric technologies. Objectives for the transformation program include:
Scalability to support growth and manufacturing footprint optimization
Enhanced Security
Improved reliability and operational support efficiency
Replacement of obsolete and unsupported network segments and components
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Categorically the scope of the Leader for this role includes full accountability for planning, program/vendor management, schedule and financial performance, and end to end execution.
Specific components of the Program Leader role are as follows:
Develop of an overall program charter and associated objectives that fully align with enterprise parameters (cost, timing...) and goals (footprint optimization, factory process automation.
Establish and facilitate global and cross functional steering committee meetings comprised of Dana Leadership to assess progress and provide guidance based on project trajectory.
Participate in network design sessions with internal Dana resources and selected partners (Cisco, Presidio). Approve the final designs.
Manage the Network Transformation Program demonstrating disciplined Program Management methodologies. Tasks include but not limited to:
Develop an overall multiyear schedule aligned with related business and IT initiatives:
Establish a site cadence.
Manage performance to schedule, budget, and financial forecasts:
Explain variance to baseline schedule and financial forecasts; develop recovery countermeasures.
Conduct go-no go gate reviews and site readiness assessments; establish go/no-go thresholds.
Employ a disciplined issue/risk management and escalation process.
Coordinate execution (installation through test) with all key stakeholders including: vendors, contractors, Manufacturing Leadership/Plant personnel, and multiple Dana IT teams.
Maintain disciplined change control relative to program scope and the introduction of change into the Dana compute environment.
Maintain a database of all project contracts, deliverables, and artifacts.
Communicate program status succinctly per established time architecture and format to the Steering Committee and all key stakeholders.
Develop processes to ensure a smooth transition to the IT Operations team and Service Desk; provide pre-deploy and post deploy assistance.
Coordinate training for impacted teams and support organizations.
Education
Bachelor's Degree required or may consider equivalent of 8+ years related professional experience
Master's Degree a plus
Experience
10-15 years in related professional experience
Language Skills
English (fluency in reading, writing and speaking)
Certifications
CCNP or equivalent experience
Additional skills
Ability to lead multiple remote and/or company-wide network projects
Leading the design and development of local, remote, and/or company wide network architecture
Installing network hardware/software
Evaluating tools and components
Monitoring network performance metrics and making corrections
Maintaining/enhancing network software
Providing second tier support, including troubleshooting, correcting local network, and network security problems
Developing disaster recovery plans
Establishing local network performance metrics
Reviewing new local network architecture and performance application designs
Developing cost analyses
