Job Summary: As a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials into and out of our facilities. You'll supervise a team of dedicated employees, oversee essential processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Job Duties:
Verify materials against documentation such as vendor invoices, bills of lading, and customer orders.
Maintain accurate records of damaged or defective items and resolve discrepancies in quantities or weights.
Record essential information including time, date, quantity, source, and destination of materials.
Evaluate and enhance existing shipping and receiving processes to optimize efficiency.
Monitor and track staff performance, providing guidance and support to achieve organizational objectives.
Maintain thorough records of shipping and receiving activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Complete all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Uphold 5S standards to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team.
Experience and Education:
Knowledge of shipping and receiving policies, procedures, and practices.
Experience in leading and directing the work of others.
Authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.
Bachelor's degree preferred, along with 5 or more years of relevant experience.
