This position will support general lab operations for the Thrive Lab, including equipment purchasing and setup. The position will provide an opportunity to learn engineering education methods.
Specific tasks include:
- Assist with general lab operations, including but not limited to coordinating study participant payments, creating lab documentation/protocols, file organization, and purchasing.
- Research equipment options and meet with company representatives.
- Setup and test new equipment.
- Conduct literature reviews.
- Assist with data analysis for projects, including quantitative and qualitative data analyses.
- Assist with creating project documentation, reports, and presentations.
The position may include travel to conferences or equipment trainings offsite.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Experience with statistical analysis, including using software such as MS Excel or R
- Experience drafting technical written reports
- Experience conducting qualitative data analysis
- Experience using Canva software
- Experience using Atlas.ti software
- Experience conducting ELISA assays
The Michigan Engineering Office of Biomedical Engineering operates in a hybrid work environment consisting of both in-person and remote work. This position will be classified as a ON-SITE position within the Michigan Engineering STARR classification matrix which means working on campus 4-5 days per week and working remotely the rest of the week.
