About the role and what you'll be doing:
We're hiring a Senior Vice President, North America Consulting Services to continue to mature and lead our Digital, Public Cloud, Mainframe Modernization, and Advisory Consulting Practices. This leader will bring a depth of experience of successful large-scale transformation work for clients and have strong technical and business acumen with an ability to execute on a wide range of sales, solution, and delivery strategies. Most critically, we are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial leader who is energized by scaling a consulting business, building highly motivated, focused cross-functional consulting teams. The ideal candidate will be an experienced consulting leader who has operated a consulting P&L alongside a company's sales force whose focus is recurring managed services. We're looking for a proven leader to contribute to our corporate development and execute that vision with speed, focus, and increased profitability.
Leadership
Mature, grow and lead the North American Digital & Consulting business segment, including consulting practice areas such as; mainframe modernization, public cloud, and digital consultancy and advisory services in North America and maintain awareness of the competitive market landscape
Formulate effective short, medium and long-term priorities, strategies and plans in line with the broader organization's business needs
Proactively collaborate with teams to drive common, company-wide strategic goals and facilitate knowledge sharing between teams
Forecast and deliver on agreed growth targets by achieving bookings, revenue, gross margin, and delivery quality metrics
Work internally to understand the impact of client requirements on standard services and develop product approaches to address customer needs
Constantly refresh knowledge of Ensono' s evolving managed service offerings including service descriptions, agreement structures, collaborative documents and pricing dynamics
Create and communicate vision for the consulting practices to the team members as well as Ensono's leadership team
Providing thought leadership and applying industry knowledge to support the ongoing development of the North American practices
Ensure that the training and re-skilling of consultants takes place in line with the needs of the business
Sales and Client Delivery
Determining how client's requirements translate to Ensono offerings and lead various teams to configure the solution
Propose solutions that range from traditional entry level projects such as assessments to large scale, multiyear transformation programs.
Enable success during the sales process through participation in sales presentations, proposal generation, utilization and prioritization, and representing a compelling integrated Ensono solution - This includes bid management, proposal writing and leading pitch teams
Enable efficient and effective contract negotiations that includes Legal and other key delivery teams to address trade-offs in scope, cost, and risk
Defining the direction of accounts and executing account development plans
Managing client/stakeholder relationships and accounts developing long-term strategic vision for clients, using your skills and experience to drive and push innovative ideas
Liaising with project teams and customers during initiation and other key stages of a project, advising how to apply best practices and how to engage with the customer
Foster productive cross functional planning and execution activities that will fully interlock Sales, Product, Marketing with the rest of Ensono's functions and leaders.
Incorporate process and methodology that will help with integrating sales-to-service delivery via client onboarding process.
Transform client-gained knowledge into enhanced products and services by working with product teams
This is a critical leadership role at Ensono with exponential growth opportunity. Therefore, we have identified minimum experiential requirements and competencies we feel a successful candidate will bring.
Prior experience leading a dynamic technical and business consultancy with multiple practices or services offerings, within a global organization
Experience of managing a consulting organization within a company that sells other products and services such as recuring managed services and/or software/hardware.
Experience in the IT managed services market.
Proven success in managing the full lifecycle from bid to solution to contract to delivery of a large deal pursuit team (Advisory Practice) that results in total contract values of upwards of $300M.
Direct responsibility for managing a consulting P&L; financial competence, acumen and understanding as it relates to consulting and advisory services profitability including understanding bill rates, margin, billable headcount, project staffing, and forecasting of the business
A deep understanding of the digital and hybrid IT landscapes
Forward thinking, with an ability to plan for future project demand and to identify team and individual skill requirements
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding growth targets
Demonstration of excellence in handling challenging Client or Associate communications in high-pressure situations
Able to build and design estimating models for professional services
Mentor and guide individuals on both working practices and technical aspects
Successful development of plans and organization of a long-term strategic roadmap
A proven track record of independently handling and collaborating with C-level business and technology executives to provide thought leadership and shape highly visible and impactful technology strategies
In-depth understanding of the commercial aspects of consulting agreements including large-scale transformation projects
Able to assess project risks, particularly around resourcing and implementation process
Manage multiple Project/Program Deliveries as a Consulting Leader and point of escalation for customers
Set clear expectations around project delivery responsibilities for team
