Our laboratory studies the role of enzymes and their inhibitors in health and disease. Primary areas of interest focus on the vascular biology of the CNS and the development of peripheral vascular and fibrotic disease including understanding how specific factors drive vascular and fibrotic disease. We use combinations of biochemical, molecular, and genetic approaches and in vivo models of disease. The successful candidate will become a member of a collaborative research lab involved in the identification and functional analysis of molecular factors contributing to disease. The position is involves on biochemical assays, protein work, and mouse models.
