Description:
DAY TO DAY:
Candidate will be responsible for doing hardware controls design on various projects that could be at various phases from cradle to grave. The initial phase is RFQ/schematic and the candidate will take that drawing and utilize Autocad to do the design portion. The candidate will be working with wiring diagrams and ensuring that they are following the schematics from the customer to complete the hardware design. The candidate will be working on the computer behind a desk majority of the day.
Candidate will be responsible for multiple projects at once that will have different deadlines. The candidate will be interfacing with the other hardware designers as well as the Controls engineers to ensure the hardware they are designing can be installed/built. The candidate will occasionally go out to the build floor to ensure that the design matches the equipment being built.
The client specializes in custom automation as majority of their projects are not repeatable. They also do work with auto and aerospace customers.
TRAVEL:
Less than 5% would go to customer to see equipment they need to design
HOURS:
40-45 hours per week, can vary based on project workload
