The Engineering Technician supports production according to the needs of the company. The areas of expertise include but are not limited to: Robot Programming, PLC troubleshooting, Machine Recipe Management, Ignition Programming and Maintenance, and AGV system troubleshooting. Other duties and responsibilities include:
- Complete work orders to assist production.
- Maintain equipment related to the primary assigned role.
- Assist team members in their primary assigned roles.
- Provide technical support and training.
- Ensure high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Available to work overtime without notice.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- A solid understanding of basic engineering concepts.
- Basic computer skills and a solid knowledge of mathematics.
- Able to wear a respirator when required.
- Must have good written, organizational, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exemplify safe work practices and follow the company's compliance standards.
- Motivated self-starter.
- Punctual and hard worker.
- Must be able to sit, stand, stoop and/or kneel for long periods of time.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years’ experience programming PLC’s, Fanuc Paint Robots, or Ignition.
- Knowledge of safe electrical practices.
- 1 year experience using Lean Manufacturing Tools.
