Teach all core subjects, aligned with the curriculum provided by Muskegon Christian School; attend all staff meetings including full-staff, grade level meetings, and Spanish Immersion meetings; establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students; adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests; select and use training and instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things; identify the educational needs of students, develop formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others; and confer with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems.
Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Education, Teaching, Communication or related field and fluency in Spanish in both speaking and writing skills to effectively perform classroom teaching and communicating.
