Job Duties Summary:

Human Resources Duties:

• Manage all aspects of new hire paperwork and background checks and maintain employee personnel files. Responsible for Michigan Online Education Certification System, applying for and tracking District Provided Professional Development as the SCECH Coordinator, compiling and submitting District data for the Sate required Registry of Educational Personnel (REP) Reporting.
• Responsible for the District’s insurance and benefits administration including open enrollment, employee cash-in-lieu and premium deductions, as well as processing of all insurance invoicing along with processing ACA reporting and injury/incident reporting through a third-party vendor. Processing all employee FMLA paperwork.
• Administer and maintain District job postings and employee applications.
• Update/type Union Contracts and print to distribute to union members along with providing Union seniority lists by dates required.

Assistant to Superintendent/Board of Education Duties:

• Coordinate Board meeting agendas and compile board packets.
• Assist Superintendent with projects as needed
• Type minutes of Board meetings, maintain minutes files.
• Post agendas and set up for board meetings.
• Coordinate terms for election notifications.
• Responsible for updates to NEOLA Policies in Board Docs.

Accounting Functions

• Weekly cash receipt balancing of breakfast/lunch program and monthly reporting and submission in the Michigan Nutritional Data System.
• Responsible for Activity Account receipts, disbursements and balancing using a software program; also responsible for the Revolving Account issuing checks, deposits and balancing monthly.
• Responsible for balancing and account charge out for Credit Cards monthly, also making miscellaneous credit card purchases and reservations and having a credit card ready for individuals or groups who are traveling.
• Processing Purchase Orders, checking for accuracy along with reconciling Amazon purchase orders before submitting for payment.
• Sales Tax to be reported monthly and processing 1099s yearly.
• Assisting with yearly financial audit, providing information needed.

Data Manager Functions

• Certifying Data Reporting by the required dates in the Fall, Spring, End of Year and the Teacher-Student Data Link. Submitting any necessary Student Record Management changes between count days.
• School of Choice notification/advertisement each semester and Letters of Acceptance or Denial.  

Miscellaneous Office Duties:

• Process Business Office mail, filing of various employee paperwork and purchase orders, track postage account balance and send payment when needed, order office supplies and various other Business Office items and projects as they arise.
