Vermont Information Processing, Inc. is seeking a Business Support Specialist for its Holland, MI office to provide technical systems, data, and business analysis.
Job responsibilities and duties include:
• Align business process with functions within the software suite
• Understand administrative, operational, and financial impacts of business functions within the eoStar suite to prescribe solutions
• Solve complex business issues by analyzing and transforming data
• Develop and provide detailed procedural documentation for proposed software solutions
• Perform discovery and define scope of implementation
• Identify and resolve defects within the software based on business processes
• Provide emergency troubleshooting and resolution for critical business operations
• Assist in data mapping procedures for master data conversion
• Perform QA (Quality Assurance), UAT (User acceptance Testing) and Regression testing for software releases and project related development.
• Perform root cause analysis on issues presented by software users
• Troubleshoot applications on mobile platforms (iOS and Android)
• Troubleshoot REST based APIs
• Troubleshoot Windows applications (UWP and Win32)
• Develop and adjust technical documentation for new and existing features in the software suite
• Investigate and document software defects.
• Use MSSQL to create custom SQL reports
• Use MSSQL to troubleshoot data related technical problems
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SQL
• Read and troubleshoot XML, JSON, CSV, and various flat files.
• Utilize the C# programming language to tailor custom reporting fields
• Take corrective actions to manipulate live data using SQL statements
• Develop processes to improve operations and align business operations with the software
• Create Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) for suggested business processes
• Analyze business processes to author product enhancement requests that align business requirements with effective software solutions.
This position has no direct reports and does not supervise the work of any other employees.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Information Technology, or any related Business or IT field of study, plus six months of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.

Domestic travel required up to 15% of the time. Work from home (WFH) benefit available; must be available to attend meetings in the Holland, MI office, as required.
