Job Description

1) Design products and processes to achieve customer and financial requirements. 2) Work cross functionally to develop the business case for product and process design improvements. 3) Review new production parts to ensure current processes can manufacture to specification and expected quality and cycle time. 4) Provide feedback and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as needed to improve manufacturability of parts and improved assembly methods. 5) Lead process design efforts using tools such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). 6) Determine product flow, establish resource requirements, eliminate efficiencies, and reduce manufacturing costs. 7) Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) analysis to determine optimum operating parameters and process capability. 8) Reduce cycle time, down time, and changeover time by improving processes, equipment, and/or tooling. 9) Troubleshoot production and quality problems, reduce variation, and improve capability using Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC). 10) Develop work standards and other station controls to prevent defects. 11) Support New Product Development teams to deliver new product platforms and line extensions.

Additional Requirements

U.S. Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
