Job Summary
Maintains shift accountability for providing quality services in a cost effective/efficient manner. Accountable for the scheduling and allocating the correct number and type of staff, keeping in mind the global staffing picture. Helps train staff in their roles and provides consistent and continuous input regarding staff performance. Accountable for daily job assignments and making sure all assignments are complete and/or adequately handled by the end of the shift. Responsible for maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment in a cost-effective and timely manner and tracks equipment.
Essential Functions
Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
Schedules staff and allocates the appropriate number and type of staff to appropriate areas / job functions.
Assesses and monitors daily job functions, ensuring the provision of quality services in a cost effective / efficient manner.
Trains staff in their roles and provides consistent and continuous input regarding staff performance.
Facilitates communication between Health system and Supply Chain team to ensure that we are providing exceptional care to our customers.
Participates in ongoing process improvement activities and other related activities.
Ensures that processes and services are continuously monitored for quality, cost effectiveness, and efficiency. Engages in process and quality improvement activities. Makes and implements recommendations to improve operational efficiency and to implement new services for areas of responsibility.
Ensures that services are provided in accordance with state and Federal regulations, organizational policy, and accreditation / compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Required High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Associate's Degree
10 years of relevant experience Materials Management Distribution or related area. Required
CRT-HI-LO Certification - UNKNOWN Unknown Big Rapids, Grand Rapids, Reed City
