Job Summary
Coordinates the maintenance of assigned departmental revenue cycle business systems, chargemasters, or other business processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency with departmental requirements and regulatory agency standards. Accountable for tasks impacting organizational cash flow, compliance, patient satisfaction and confidentiality. Monitors and trends data for assigned revenue cycle departments and tasks. Assists in the gathering of financial information in accordance with the provider's negotiated contract to aid others within the department to facilitate correct configuration of the claims payment system(s).
Essential Functions
Coordinates the timely and accurate contract build implementation by assisting with necessary paperwork as well as working with operational areas for non-standard contractual updates.
Manages, responds and monitors incoming inquiry work queues.
Research issues related to problems arising from contract set up to determine root cause and take necessary action to resolve. Ensure effective communication of resolution to appropriate leadership.
Monitors, develops, and improves job procedures to ensure maximum effectiveness in process and resource time spent on job tasks.
Communicates, collaborates and acts as a consultant to internal and external customers in order to resolve low level complexity provider issues.
Assist department as directed by management.
Assists in the resolution of revenue cycle issues, such as patient access, billing or denials, and develops systems to proactively address trends.
Qualifications
Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field
2 years of relevant experience different areas of the health system such as billing, coding, reimbursement, technology & information solutions, and/or finance. Required
