Qualifications:

Minimum High School Diploma or GED
Experience working with children with Significant Cognitive Impairments preferred.
Must meet Highly Qualified Para Educator qualifications. 60 College credit hours or score of 450 or higher on the ETS Paraprofessional test
CPI Certification
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Hours: Classroom Hours: 7:40-3:20, Balanced Calendar Position

Job Goal: To assist the teacher in helping students with impairments achieve maximum benefit from their educational programs.

Terms of Employment: Wage and benefits per support staff contract depending upon training and experience.
