Bentley Community Schools is seeking a highly organized and energetic individual to oversee all aspects of our concessions operation for home athletic events. This role plays a vital part in supporting our athletes, generating revenue for our athletic programs, and creating a positive experience for our fans.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-Season Planning:
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director to develop a menu that caters to different tastes and dietary needs.
- Manage inventory lists, purchase orders, ordering and pickup of items, and budgets
- Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers for concession stands.
- Develop operational procedures for opening, sales, closing, and sanitation.
- Game Day Operations:
- Ensure start-up cash box is ready to go and that workers understand the procedure for deposits.
- Ensure the setup and cleanup of the concession area for each event.
- Manage inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
- Ensure food preparation meets all health and safety regulations.
- Train and supervise volunteers on proper cash handling, customer service, and food safety.
- Monitor sales and adjust inventory or menu options based on demand.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and transactions.
- Post-Season:
- Conduct a thorough inventory and reconcile accounts.
- Analyze sales data and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports for the Athletic Director.
- Assist with off-season planning and equipment maintenance.
- Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Identify volunteers with the ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and highly reliable.
- Experience working with food and beverage operations is a plus.
- Proficient in basic computer and spreadsheet software.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends during athletic seasons.
- Compensation: $2,000 (fall and winter events)
