Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.
- Position Summary and Primary Responsibilities
- Assemble and repair electrical systems and equipment, including but not limited to wiring, fixtures, switches, control panels, and circuit breakers.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure functionality and compliance with safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
- Provide testing of electrical equipment such as motors, generators, voltage regulators, capacitors, and switches, applying knowledge of assembly techniques, machine setup, and testing procedures for designated area.
- Demonstrates machine setup and operation, and procedures of assembly, wiring, and soldering techniques, using hand tools, and soldering equipment.
- Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout, wiring, and configuration of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and other team members to coordinate installations and repairs and ensure adherence to project time lines and specifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with electrical equipment and systems to minimize risks and ensure a safe work environment.
- Keep abreast of advancements in electrical technology and regulations to ensure compliance and efficiency in operations.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior technicians and apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge in electrical maintenance and repair.
- Basic Qualifications
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree or Certification course completion of training in Electrical or Electronics.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role in industrial or commercial settings.
- Experience
- 2-3 years hands on training in Electrical or Electronics
- Other Requirements
- Must have the ability to provide problem solving solutions for all aspects of electronic assembly including, pretest, wire prep, board assembly, and final testing.
- Test control assemblies using such instruments as voltmeter, ammeter and ohmmeter in adjusting and locating defects and taking remedial action.
- Requires the ability to plan and perform a sequence of operations where standard operation methods are available.

- Education or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree in electrical or Electronics.
- Other Requirements
- Must have a minimum of five years experience in electronics manufacturing and testing.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
- Must have demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring principles.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards (e.g., NEC, OSHA).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
