About the role:
As an Outside Sales Executive Trainee for TQL, you’ll be paired with an experienced salesperson for 6 months, learning to master the art of closing new business. Working alongside our full-truck-load division, you will become an expert in your assigned mode of transportation. You’ll close the business by making warm calls, visiting customers, and hopping on conference calls with the customer owner to maximize revenue growth. If you’re a decisive problem-solver and have the drive for financial freedom, this is the sales career for you. What you'll be doing:
Learning from a successful mentor the first 6 months to set you up for success
Work with full-truck-load sales executives to develop relationships and strategize to close new and existing customers to move their freight
Travel as needed to visit customers and land their business
Make calls to establish a pipeline and build your book of successful closes
Provide honest and proactive communications – internally and externally
Learn and master a type of transportation that isn’t full-truck-load, becoming the go to expert in the office to meet our customer’s needs
What you need:
College degree preferred, but no degree required
Available to work full-time, 100% in-office
Available to travel up to 25%
Determination to work harder than anyone
Strong negotiation skills with the professionalism to handle conflict
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for exceptional customer service
Ability to work with the latest supply chain & logistics technologies
