Participate in the culinary program. To use current trends and preparations to prepare food for hotel guests in a friendly, clean and efficient manner. Inspiring and creating dishes that inspire golfers to dine in our restaurants, bar and patio area. More specifically, keep property clean; check daily needs for all food needed for your shift; requisition food as needed and report any food shortages to Supervisor; set up station for meal periods; be ahead of time for each breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts; properly rotate all food products (FIFO); store food in a neat, clean and sanitary manner; prepare and cook foods in proper portions, then plate and garnish as per specifications; take “Posi” tickets from servers and ensure that no food is given out without a ticket; pick up food orders from storeroom and store them in their proper areas; maintain a clean refrigerator and serving line; coordinate preparation work with the other cooks’ requests for sauces, soups, vegetables, meats, fish, etc.; ensure that all equipment is shut off before going off duty and all stations are broken down and clean; keep your work area well organized, stocked and clean; ensure that there are sufficient clean china and plate covers before each meal period (request assistance form Steward’s Department); and other duties as assigned by Kitchen Supervisor. Must be able to work fast and efficient, also in an organized manner; knowledge of basic food storage methods; knowledge of basic culinary preparation and knife skills; to know and comply with company policies and procedures pertaining to your work areas including scheduling, dress code, absenteeism and tardiness; comply with personal appearance and grooming standards; and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times

Housing available at $100.00 per week. Not a condition of employment, is optional, and will be deducted from bi-weekly payroll in addition to other deductions authorized by law.
Worksite Location: 4700 North Red Oak Road, Lewiston, Michigan 49756
Period of employment: Seven (7) + months (April 1, 2024 to October 31, 2024)
Employer will offer 40 hours per week. Full time. Shifts of 8 hours: 6:00 am – 3:00 pm. Hours and days of week vary. Business is open 7 days a week.
Rate of Pay: $18.00 per hour
Overtime: $27.00 as applicable
A single work week will be used for computing wages due.
Workers will be paid bi-weekly.
Employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law.
Employer will guarantee payment for three-fourths of the work week hours (averaged over a 6- or 12-week period) regardless of actual hours worked, unless worker fails to report for work.
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work.
Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Subsistence will be at least $15.46 per day of travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
Employer will reimburse worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the worker.
