With over $2 billion in assets, Sterling Bank & Trust continues to grow better to serve our customers in communities across the U.S Position Summary:The Servicing Associate is responsible for the successful input of all new loans and performs maintenance when necessary; they also validate new loan information input by coworkers. They also establish and maintain all mortgage and commercial files throughout the life cycle of the loan along with answering questions for employees as they arise. Performs additional assignments or duties as required. Essential Duties and Functions (include but are not limited to): Validate and interpret residential mortgage and commercial loan documents in order to prepare pre- boarding process.Accurately input required new loan boarding data into the Core system.Perform maintenance and review sign-off post boarding completion within next business day.Update and maintain exception files via collateral tracking in the Core system.Update and maintain key transferred and purchased documents/tool including, but not limited to, servicing questionnaire, shipping transmittals, transfer instructions and process documentation.Monitor transfer tasks closely to ensure all timelines are met and update transfer database.Maintain strong relationship with internal teams and various external partners including third party title company and document custodian in a professional and constructive manner.Review and validate paid-in-full loan status in the Core system.Generate and process lien release documents sent for recording as required.Maintain accurate and complete documentation records to ensure timely lien release.Update and maintain exception files via collateral tracking in the Core system.Comment all loan servicing activities and images related account documents on the loan level in the Core system.Maintain Residential and Commercial loan file room.Work with department managers on a daily basis, but has ability to perform daily tasks with minimum or no supervision.Review daily work in accordance to departmental policy.Maintain high performance including attendance and dependabilityComplete all required product, service, and compliance training as it relates to the position and employment with Sterling and adheres to BSA Policy and procedures.Perform all the above duties consistent with professional ethical standards, including reporting any observed ethical violations to the appropriate management, management and/or Board level committees, and/or the Bank’s ethics hotline.Additional duties and/or special projects may be assigned. Pay & BenefitsThis position is eligible for full-time employee benefits. The base pay range for this role is between $18 to $20 per hour and is located in Southfield, MI (on-site). At Sterling Bank & Trust, FSB, the pay range only includes base compensation.
