Join our great team at Settler's Co-op as a full-time Deli Associate.
A full-time position is available immediately. Deli hours are from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm and your hours will vary. This position will require working most weekends.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Exceptional customer service skills needed to complete customer requests including but not limited to:
- Slicing meats and cheeses; serving salads, soups, and other items in the hot case
- Preparing pizzas, sandwiches, fried chicken and take-n-go meals
- Baking bread, rolls, buns
- Refilling & stocking the coffee bar, bakery racks, display case and supplies.
- Clean-up: Ensuring work areas, equipment and floors are clean, trash is removed and all tools are in working order.
- Any other duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent Customer Service & communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend and squat
- Time management skills
- Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation
All positions start at $12.00/hr (D.O.E.) with a 90-day review and possible pay increase. Prior experience or a current food handler's license will result in higher pay.
Full-time applicants are eligible for vacation, sick and holiday pay and AFLAC Insurance. We offer a Simple IRA for all employees with a company match of 3.0% after being employed for one year.
