6 South is a 22-bed acuity adaptable unit at Butterworth Hospital that is capable of managing both non ICU and ICU status patients admitted with advanced cardiopulmonary care needs.6 South specializes in patients with advanced heart failure, pre or post heart or lung transplant, etc.

Scope of work
Performs receptionist/secretarial duties and maintains confidential records, supplies and equipment per hospital and unit specific standards.
Greets and directs guests on the unit in a manner that reflects a welcoming environment. Performs computer entry, schedules tests/procedures, processes orders, and performs other related activities per unit/hospital standard within a reasonable time frame. Collects, monitors, and audits QI data and reports as assigned. Maintains inventory of materials/forms and supplies and stocks according to unit standard.

Required High School Diploma or equivalent
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
