Responsibilities:
This is a senior staff position within the IT Infrastructure Team, the candidate will be responsible for championing the development and implementation of Automation solutions within the IT team. This position will be a full-time position for our Livonia, MI location. The position will be required to troubleshoot effectively and solve technical issues within the environment. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:
Work with the infrastructure team to design and implement projects in the areas below while considering risks and potential impact.
Identify opportunities for automation within relevant software, IT Infrastructure, and business workflows.
Develop and implement scripts for discovery events and systems maintenance.
Identify bugs and quality issues in development, service or business processes and software.
Install and maintain applications and tools relevant to automation.
Work with IT Team to rapidly patch operating system and software vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with the business to understand software's in use to introduce automation and improvements in IT workflow.
Support the IT staff by identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks within the IT environment including but not limited to the following areas:
Endpoints
Software
Infrastructure
Integrations
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Two years of experience working in Microsoft Configuration Manager or Intune
Networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
Knowledge of Windows Server, Cloud Infrastructure, and VMWare Virtualization
Exceptional communication and customer service skills
Creative problem solver with analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
Excellent time management with the ability to multitask.
Organized and detail oriented.
Microsoft 365, Azure, PowerShell, Patch My PC
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Programming languages: Python, Perl, PowerShell, Java, C++, or C#
Fundamental programming paradigm: Object-oriented programming (OOP)
Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Version control systems
Mobile device and application management (MDM/MAM): Microsoft Intune and relevant automation systems
Remove monitoring and management (RMM): N-Central by SolarWinds and relevant management systems
Database Management SQL
DevOps: Experience with DevOps practices such as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) and continuous testing
Security: Experience with security concepts and best practices
Continue developing product knowledge
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use hands, sit, talk/hear; Occasionally will stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Vision: Close vision, ability to adjust focus.
Lift and/or Move Functions: Occasionally will lift 25 pounds
Work Environment: Occasionally will work near moving mechanical parts
