About the unit
Wayne Emergency is a 53-bed, level 3 trauma center serving the cities of Wayne/Westland, and the surrounding area as well as Detroit Metro Airport. There are approximately 35,000 visits annually. We care for a variety of patients of all ages who are acute or chronically ill; approximately 30% of patient arrivals are via ambulance.

Scope of work
Under the direction of the RN manager or other nursing leader, the assistant RN manager has responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in the department.

Qualifications
Associate's Degree in nursing Required.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in nursing Preferred.
2 years of relevant experience (Emergency) Required.
Participation in leadership activities may include but is not limited to: Charge Lead Nurse, Charge Nurse responsibilities, leadership on behalf of unit/site/system at Shared Governance Council Preferred.
MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months.
