Location: Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and in-office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. This includes remote work and 1-2 days in office per week.
The Business Account Manager Sr is responsible for developing and building improved methodologies and practices which are consistent with current enterprise goals, state contract performance assurances and all internal Administrative Services Agreement deliverables for one or more complex Commercial health plan markets.
This role is within the Program Integrity Aligned Incentives (PIAI) Client Management unit of the Employer Funding Solutions team. The role services self-funded commercial clients who are participating in PIAI. PIAI is a shared savings program that helps Anthem optimize our approach to fighting fraud, waste and abuse and provider billing errors.
How You Will Make an Impact
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Researching and responding to client inquiries, presenting the PIAI program's value, defending the shared savings fees associated with the PIAI program, coordinating client audits, and managing relationships with account managers in a specific region.
Provides direct support to health plan markets and associated stakeholders.
Functions as the single point of contact for Commercial business operational needs.
Organizes and leads teams/workgroups by defining, developing, designing, and driving implementation of solutions which align with strategic objectives and priorities which enhance operations, minimize stakeholder abrasion, grow membership and/or create new revenue programs.
Leverages corporate initiatives and best practices from across Commercial to facilitate solution design.
Identifies and coordinates independent initiatives across the organization and seeks to develop a combined solution whenever possible.
Ensures the quality, speed, and efficiency of shared services delivered to the individual health plan customers and their respective State constituents.
Monitors alignment of plans and shared service partners through department developed tools.
Mentors associates as requested by leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 10 years relevant work experience, including experience in healthcare insurance industry; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences
Prior work in Carelon's Program Integrity unit or similar experience.
Demonstrated experience as an executive account manager, or project manager in a complex corporate environment, competence in data assimilation, analysis and effective change management, and employs strong execution skills to deliver on assigned duties strongly preferred.
PMP, CBAP or similar certification preferred.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $118,272 to $177,408
