Job Description:
Security Subsystem Application Engineer: Specify, and release vehicle security subsystem electronics modules and components. Subsystems include Passive Entry Passive Start (PEPS), Key Fobs, Perimeter Alarm, Intrusion Alarm, and Passive Anti Theft Systems (PATS). Lead subsystem development, calibration, validation, and support efforts.
Manage E/E component/subsystem engineering disciplines: FMEA, DVP&R, etc. Work with PMTs to manage design and development to meet functional objectives and affordable targets.
Skills Required:
Active listening, troubleshooting, problem solving, time management, multi-tasking, written and verbal skills.
Skills Preferred:
FMEA development, system testing, program management, test procedure, automotive data analysis
Experience Required:
3 year electrical engineering experience.
Experience Preferred:
2 years electrical engineering experience.
Automotive product development.
OEM engineering experience.
Education Required:
4 year engineering degree/electrical preferred
Additional Skills Required:
Familiar with OEM release process.
Ability to interface with interdisciplinary teams to manage time lines for RF certification that meet OEM's delivery commitments.
Technical acumen, Electrical Engineering degree preferred or equivalent technical background.
Preferred to have some knowledge of Radio Frequency Certification
Ability to manage and maintain a large data base
Strong computer skills and must be proficient with Microsoft office suite
Ability to chair meetings and accurately summarize outcome
Team player with strong interface skills
Project management proficiency
