About the Role

What You Will Do
Creative design of multisensory in-car experience using sound, light, mechanics, haptics, and more
Integrate with audio, software, lighting, design, and innovation teams within EPIC to receive components and systems and define user experiences
Prototype new in-car experiences and distill them into product opportunities
Define experience plans, storyboards, and interfaces for customer concepts and business pursuits
Document user stories and experiences and define new innovations with product teams
Research OEM and consumer pain points and drive innovative solutions in concept/product design
Work with sales and customer teams to understand and design solutions for customer needs
Create new brand experiences across Harman's entire house of brands.
Collaborate with UI and industrial designers and acoustic engineers to craft new user interfaces and experiences
Collaborate with internal teams within EPIC, Car Audio, Automotive, and all other divisions of Harman and Samsung
What You Need
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited institution having completed your Freshman year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders and executives
Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
What Makes You Eligible
Be willing to work in an office in Novi, MI
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must provide full work availability from May 20, 2024, through August 9, 2024, and be able to work 40 hours per week depending on workload
